Triple Grooved Roll for Conveyor Belt
Structural Features
- Composed of three grooved rollers arranged in a groove shape. Usually, the middle roller is slightly longer, and the two side rollers are slightly shorter, forming a groove angle generally between 30° and 60°, commonly 35° or 45°.
- The rollers are made of high-quality steel or wear-resistant plastics, and the surface may be wrapped with wear-resistant materials such as rubber to increase the friction with the conveyor belt and wear resistance.
- Installed on the conveyor belt through a sturdy bracket and bearings to ensure the flexible rotation and good stability of the rollers.
Working Principle
- When the conveyor belt is in operation, the middle roller of the triple grooved roll serves as the driving roller, which is driven to rotate by the driving device and drives the conveyor belt forward through friction.
- The two side rollers act as driven rollers, working in coordination with the middle roller to keep the conveyor belt in the grooved structure, preventing it from deviating, and sharing the weight of the conveyor belt and materials to play a supporting role.
Application Fields
- Widely applied in places where bulk materials are transported, such as coal mines, power plants, ports, etc., and also used in the production lines of industries like chemical engineering and building materials. It is suitable for transporting various materials in the form of blocks, granules, powders, etc.
Advantages
- The grooved structure can increase the contact area between the conveyor belt and the rollers, improve the conveying capacity, make the materials more evenly distributed on the conveyor belt, and prevent the materials
